OUR INTEGRATIVE PHILOSOPHY

At Home & Soul Disability Support, we believe you are more than your diagnosis or your symptoms. Lasting empowerment and independence happen when we care for every part of you. 


Our NDIS capacity building and support services are built on three core pillars—Mind, Body, and Soul—each supported by a vital biochemical foundation for whole-person wellness. 

 

Mind

Your mind is where daily struggles live—the overwhelm, the racing thoughts, the weight of navigating a world that doesn’t always understand you. That’s why we start here. Shaped by both lived experience and professional practice, we know what it takes to truly support you.


Trauma-Informed Care: We train all our staff to be mentally aware and trauma-informed so every interaction feels safe and deeply understood.


Motivational Interviewing & Coaching: All of our Support Coordinators and Behaviour Support practitioners are specifically trained in Personal Coaching and Motivational Interviewing. Instead of just telling you what to do, we help you find your own internal motivation, empowering you to safely commit to lasting, positive change. 


A Different Kind of Care: Our advanced training makes our team uniquely equipped to help you overcome mental roadblocks, build self-belief, and take real control of your NDIS journey. 


Practical Tools & Resources: Through gentle, evidence-based practices, we help you build the concrete tools you need to navigate life with greater ease and confidence. 

Body

Trauma, stress, and overwhelm don’t just live in your mind—they live in your body. We offer more than just talk-based support, encouraging you to safely reconnect with yourself.


Nervous System Regulation: Explore therapeutic yoga, somatic movement classes, and gentle practices specifically designed to ground a stressed nervous system. .


Inclusive Groups: Our group spaces are welcoming, accessible, and explicitly designed for neurodivergent individuals.


Sensory-Friendly Movement: Our activities offer a calm, low-stimulus environment where you can explore physical wellness at your own comfortable pace. 


Releasing Stored Stress: We help you gently release physical tension and trauma stored in the body, building your stamina and comfort for daily community living. 


Soul

True wellbeing goes beyond managing symptoms—it is about living a life filled with purpose, joy, and meaning. We translate your deep personal needs into approved NDIS pathways so you can safely nourish your inner self.


Mindfulness & Grounding: Learn practical, everyday tools like structured journaling and guided meditation to calm a sensory-overloaded nervous system.


Creative Expression: We use therapeutic art and music to help you gently work through emotional blockages, reduce anxiety, and express who you are.


Nature & Community Connection: We use your community funding to get you out into the world—whether that’s a grounding walk at the beach, a nature hike, or joining an inclusive local group.


Coaching & Goal Alignment: We sit with you to ask what brings you joy, then use professional personal coaching to help you confidently take control of your NDIS journey.

Nutrition for Mental Health

There is a powerful connection between what you eat and how you feel. We offer practical nutrition education to support your mental health—helping you understand how to nourish your body and brain for better mood, energy, and overall wellbeing. 


The Foundation of Care: We view nutrition as the base that supports everything else. When your body is properly nourished, your mind becomes clearer and your emotions steadier.


Brain & Mood Support: Learn how specific foods impact your nervous system, reduce inflammation, and naturally boost your daily energy levels.


Practical Kitchen Skills: We focus on capacity building, helping you learn how to shop for, prepare, and choose foods that support your mental health without stress.


Fuel for Your Dreams: We give your soul the physical energy it needs to reach for its goals, making wellness a fully integrated experience.

Our integrative approach isn’t just a checklist—it is the heartbeat of everything we do. Founded by a qualified Integrative Counsellor, our practice is uniquely guided by a deep clinical understanding of how mental, physical, and emotional health are completely interconnected.


Led by an Integrative Counsellor: Because our founder is trained in integrative therapy, we don't look at your challenges in isolation. We look at the whole picture—how your environment, body, and mind impact your daily wellbeing.


Driven by Lived Experience: We combine professional counseling expertise with real, lived experience of neurodivergence and navigating the world differently. This means we offer support that is deeply empathetic, realistic, and completely free of judgment


Person-Centred and Empowering: We meet you exactly where you are today. Utilising advanced coaching and Motivational Interviewing, we don’t dictate your path—we empower you to find your own voice and build self-advocacy.


Seamless NDIS Alignment: We actively bridge the gap between holistic care and the NDIS. We ensure that every creative, natural, or somatic practice we use is strictly aligned with building your functional capacity and achieving your funded goals.
